• Usage analytics: aggregate, privacy-friendly usage data such as pages viewed, referrers, and approximate device type. Our analytics are cookieless and are not used to identify you individually.

• To send the weekly Field Desk newsletter you subscribed to.

• Discord — delivery of contact-form submissions to our team
• Supabase — authentication and storage of optional account preferences
• Vercel — website hosting and privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our analytics provider (Vercel) is cookieless. If you sign in to an optional account, we use essential browser storage to keep you logged in.

Legal Bases (EEA/UK Visitors)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your data based on your consent (for the newsletter), our legitimate interests (responding to inquiries, securing and improving the Site), and to perform a service you request (optional accounts). You can withdraw consent at any time.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to withdraw consent or object to certain processing. California residents (CCPA/CPRA) have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" — note that we do not sell or share personal information. We keep newsletter and account data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Contact-form messages are retained only as long as needed to respond and keep reasonable records.

Children's Privacy

AfriAI.io is intended for a professional audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
